Dear Brothers in Christ Jesus! I love you guys, but, the advice you all gave on the ecumenical possibilities between Judeo-Christian religion and Islam is naive at best. I appreciate and admire your charitable spirit and wish to emulate it, but,I suggest you have a chat with Robert Spencer on the best approach of evangelizing Muslims and pass that advice on to the listeners. I want to know the best way of explaining that God is our Father; that Jesus is His Son; that Mary is the Mother of God.
Also, expand for us listeners how Genesis16:12 doesn't apply today as it has for the last fourteen hundred years. Perhaps too, you can advise the Christians in Iraq how to invite a Muslim to any Church not bombed or burned out, so they can share with them the Sermon on the Mount. That's probably good enough to stop the hatred over there.
The Truth must get out to the Muslims but being good dhimmis won't do the job. Hearts and minds will eventually change but not without a serious Rosary Crusade. You, my brothers in Jesus' name, have the format to launch this campaign to make reparation for America and the Culture of Death, for the re-conversion of America and Europe, and for the conversion of Islam.
St. Thomas Aquinas (Summa Contra Gentiles)says about Mohammed, those "who believed in him were brutal men and desert wanderers utterly ignorant of all divine teaching, through who's numbers Mohammed forced others to become his followers by the force of his arms". Nothing has changed, Jesse.
You had a caller that said she had a "new friend", a Muslim, who you invited to some event. How about you going to her friends mosque and have the friends Imam express his condemnation publicly, for any Muslim or Muslim country or affiliation that uses violence against Jew/Christian civilians and other innocent civilians, in the name of Allah, Mohammed or Islam.
Another person you can talk to about engaging Muslims about Jesus as the Son of God, or, God as Father, is Dr. Scott Hahn.
I love you, Jesse, keep up the great work but remember, discussing Catholic views with protestants and evangelicals is easy; with Muslims, deadly.

Jesse and Terry, I was on the way home from the airport this evening and happened upon your show for the first time. I found it quite good. I did find a comment from one of your guest to be irksome to me. It is kind of hard to explain. She, like so many, deeply misunderstood the Holy Father's words about the use of contraception. You did a fine job of clearing up the misunderstanding! Kudos!I
That being said, something has been bothering me ever since. She said that she would not change her established opinion, regardless of what the Holy Father said. In this case, thankfully, it was just a case of media-driven misunderstanding (what else is new?). However, for someone who claims to be faithful to the truths of the Catholic faith -- she reveals an immaturity in that faith. We cannot hold an opinion that is unchallengeable by Mother Church. If your caller's opinion had been at fault (which in this case, it was not), and the Holy Father had publicly taught something to the contrary -- she should be ready to conform her opinion to the opinion of the Church. We Americans love to have our opinion be of equal weight to anyone else's. And when it comes to our civic lives, that is true. When it comes to the truths handed to us from Sacred Scriptures, the traditions of our Church, authority of the magisterium and the Holy Father -- well, we don't get to just reject their teachings because they challenge long held beliefs.
